SAWA Airsoft Review

After Action Report:  SAWA Girls give good accounting of themselves at Operation Powerplay!

Picture
Held at Mr. Paintball and Airsoft Field in Escondido CA, Operation Power Play  was a scenario/mission based event hosted by the venerable Army of Six Productions, Evike Airsoft and Airsoft Extreme Inc.  Secenario: The US has run rampant and invaded Mexico in a grab for extra resources, a combined South American army / UN force plus a cast of mercenaries thrown into the mix.

10:30 Hours:  SAWA's element 3 sniper team and support section (Victoria Christian, Shannon Strobel, Tommie  and Emily Costas,  (Liza Barnes was already on site)  rolled into Mr. Paintball and Airsoft Field.

11:45 Hours:  Several missions were required to be completed, 3 of which fell to SAWA Element 3 as participants on the US side: From the mission opord and briefing:  1) Take up a sniper position to eliminate certain South American military leaders, then move to another pre-designated location as ordered to do so.  2) Carry, emplace and launch a nuclear weapon at a specific location without being detected, defend the postion if need be and then set of the nuclear rocket when ordered.  3) Defend our CP from being overrun

14:50 Hours:  Operating as a flexible sniper / special missions unit, SAWA Girls were able to successfully ground deliver and launch the simulated nuclear rocket under intense fire accomplishing the mission, defend the Command Post and even helped to repel a determined final assault during a skirmish scenario gaining a huge amount of points.  ROCKING IT ALL THE WAY!!

17:47 Hours:  SAWA Girl Shannon Strobel wins a Classic Army M4 RIS Airsoft rifle, Liza Barnes wins a Classic Army P-90 Airsoft rifle during Awards and Raffle at the end of Power Play.

SAWA girls consistently called out when they were hit (some of the other players who did not do so at Operation Power Play would  do well to remember this) and strictly adhered to field safety rules.  There was on instance where when was Victoria was hit she called out: "I'm hit" but the player leveling the fire at her did not stop shooting at her until 2 minutes later.

But all-in-all everyone enjoyed the op and the SAWA girls gave a good accounting of themselves.
